PHYSICIST DAVID BOHM (1917-1992) from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, attended Pennsylvania State College and later received his doctorate from the University of California at Berkeley. He worked on the Manhattan Project in 1943, and then accepted an assistant professorship at universities in Sao Paula and Haifa, and a research fellowship at Bristol University. In 1951 he was called before a committee of the House of Representatives, and like others in his time, citing the Fifth Amendment, he refused to testify against a graduate school associate. As a result of political fallout he was ultimately forced to find work elsewhere. In 1961 he was named Professor of Theoretical Physics at Birbeck College in London. Before that time, however, at Princeton, David Bohm wrote what many physicists consider to be the classic text on quantum theory. In that publication you will find the beginnings of a new model of reality--a model employed in EN’s curriculum.
In his book, Quantum Theory, Bohm advances the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum physics. In it he explains how the findings of contemporary physics are presenting us with a completely different model of reality, and thus generates what’s often referred to as consciousness-based science.
